The first ingredient in our Pine Pitch Salve is wildcrafted Pinyon Pine Resin. Sustainably harvested, every piece of our Pinion Pine Sap was harvested from the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Pine sap, also known as pine resin, rosin, etc., has a multitude of uses and has been used for thousands of years. This salve is great for minor wounds such as cuts, scratches, stings, bites, etc., and is a must-have in your first aid kit.
Resins are produced in special resin cells in plants and are also produced when an injury occurs to the plant.
Think of a pine tree that has a missing tree limb. What do you see? Sticky “sap” flows from the tree, essentially making a bandage over the wound that hardens and eventually fossilizes into an incredibly hard substance. That hard substance is what we use to create our salve.
Ingredients: Wild Harvested Pinyon Pine Resin, Beeswax, Avocado Oil
Usage: Apply to minor cuts and scrapes, stings, bites, paper cuts, etc. Discontinue use if irritation occurs, keep out of reach from children and pets, for external use only!
